Kana Lee joined Touchdown’s Los Angeles team in spring of 2018 to serve as the marketing manager. Her prior experience spans multiple industries from hospitality, operations management, market research, marketing in architecture, marketing in law, and creative direction for brand development.

Prior to Touchdown, Kana led respondent recruiting for qualitative research in retail, consumer packaged goods, and hospitality brands. Simultaneously, Kana also managed her family’s Japanese restaurant and opened a specialty coffee shop.

Kana graduated from Allegheny College with a BA in Political Science and Communication Arts and a minor in Asian studies. After college she worked in Japan as an English teacher.

Following her time in Japan, Kana was the Creative Director for the 626 Night Market team, an events organization producing the biggest Asian night market in the US. Kana designed the arts experience for the event as well as implemented systems for seamless operations. Under her advisory, the team grew attendance for the event from a few thousand to 40,000 guests. Today, the event continues to thrive and has over 100,000 attendees.

Kana’s background also includes management roles in marketing, business development, and operations in a boutique law firm, a national architecture firm, and a leading hospitality company.

In her spare time Kana is a dancer. Her training began in college and extended to most of the major dance studios all around the world. After moving back to LA from Japan, she became a principal dancer and choreographer for two LA based dance companies, one of which was an all-female group she directed for nearly a decade. When she’s not dancing, Kana enjoys being in nature, photography, traveling, exploring art, learning more about innovation, dreaming up big ideas, and being in immersive creative experiences.
