Kiran is a Venture Partner at Touchdown, where he focuses on investments in enterprise software investments across industries.
Kiran has spent 15 years investing in and operating at high-growth technology startups. Prior to Touchdown, he was the CFO of mParticle, a leading customer data platform. He built the finance team and provided strategic and operational finance leadership to support the company’s growth. Previously, Kiran was a partner at Valhalla Partners, where he invested in early-stage b2b software startups across sales and marketing, advertising, IoT, mobile, industrial, cloud infrastructure, and vertical SaaS categories. Kiran started his career as a software developer at Bentley Systems, in product management roles at Siebel Systems, and at an e-commerce SaaS startup.
Kiran has an MBA from The Wharton School with concentrations in entrepreneurship and finance. He earned an MS from the University of Maryland and a bachelor’s degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, both in Mechanical Engineering. He is a graduate of the Kauffman Fellows Program, a global network of over 700 venture investors and operators.
Kiran lives in the Washington D.C. suburbs with his wife, two teenage children, and two dogs. He is a lifelong cricket buff, a die-hard Iron Maiden fan, and loves outdoor travel with family.
